Memories are like tied knots - entanglements of lived events and our perceptions of these events. These knotted vortices are not a stable and persistent phenomenon; rather, they expand until they break.
Each time someone new approaches the event, or gives a new reading of it in another point in time and space, the knot is rebuilt. The event is reconstructed and reimagined, and in this way the knot is recreated.
